I don’t think “Elementary” will be anywhere near as good as BBC’s “Sherlock” but I’m also not sure as to why all the hate. It certainly doesn’t look awful and though Jonny Lee Miller is no Benedict Cumberbatch (even though the two have an interesting connection), I don’t see a problem with another version of Sherlock - even one that does seem to borrow from the most recent successful re-incarnation.
I wouldn’t say I’m excited exactly, but it is on my watch list for this fall.
